Full-time Director of Quality Assurance | Registered Nurse - College Park, MD 20740

You have a Bachelor's degree in nursing and are licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland (or have the ability to gain this licensure). You have at least five (5) years of experience in hospital quality that includes experience with performance improvement and/or process improvement initiatives. We seek candidates for the role of Quality Assurance Coordinator. In this role you will abstract core measures data from medical records (SCIP). You will work to ensure house-wide compliance related to core measures, including communication with front line staff. You will conduct quality audits and share monthly Quality/PI data. You will coordinate with the Department Managers and medical staff leaders to improve core measure rating improvement. You will create Ad Hoc report within current data bases to improve accurate reporting of data in every department. You will effectively lead projects and project teams to ensure timely, fiscally sound, quality improved projects. You will participate in Continuous survey readiness for JC, state, and CMS. You will represent quality department on hospital committees. You will coordinate and/or support patient safety initiatives.Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a clinical field and at least five (5) years of experience in hospital quality. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's in Nursing. Candidates must have experience with performance improvement and/or process improvement initiatives. Must have teamwork experience working cross-functionally throughout multiple disciplines. Must have the ability to set priorities and multi-task. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook).Competitive compensation and full benefits.
