SALARY RANGE: $58,667.00 to $74,628.00 / Per YearOPEN PERIOD: Thursday, December 15, 2011 to Wednesday, February 01, 2012Organization(s): Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Educational & Developmental Intervention Services, Fort Campbell, Kentucky 42223 About the Position: • A relocation bonus, retention allowance, or recruitment bonus of up to 25% of your basic pay will be offered • You will execute a full range of direct pediatric physical therapy procedures for the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS). Pediatric specialty techniques are used to manage clients with a combination of mild to severe physical, developmental, learning, and behavioral impairments from birth to age 21. • Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) is a community based program which provides developmental support to children from birth to 36 months. EDIS screens children for developmental concerns and provides services to eligible children who reside on Fort Campbell. The EDIS team includes several providers including speech - language pathologist, early childhood intervention specialist, an occupational therapist and a physical therapist.As an Educational and Developmental Intervention Services Physical Therapist you will independently evaluate referred clients for diagnosis and treatment planning and determine current levels of functioning. Clients include infants and children with Down's syndrome, muscular dystrophy, neuromuscular and orthopedic dysfunction, learning disabilities, and other disorders. Functional area assessments include gross and fine motor skills, reflex maturation, gait and ambulation, muscle strength, joint range of motion, self-care skills and activities of daily living skills, visual/motor/perceptual skills, and neuromuscular functioning. Establish short and long-term achievement goals. Provide direct therapy, consultation, monitoring, and co-teaching models of services to children with identified physical therapy needs.
