Position Summary: Handles the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. Duties and Responsibilities: • Reviews and approves semi-monthly payroll• Reviews and approves accounts payable, verifies all coding in compliance with DCAA policies• Books necessary journal entries on a monthly basis. • Monitors delinquent A/R. • Monitors contract funding and costs• Prepares annual budget for expenditures and tracks budget variances by department • Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.• Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. • Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process. • Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity. • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value. • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees, and others in a courteous and professional manner. • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. • Filing of incurred cost audit with DCAASupervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises payroll, A/P & A/R and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications/requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial, or Business Administration • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience. • Proven supervisory experience. • Exceptional communication skills. • Proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving and analytical skills required. • Experience with Deltek GCS Premier• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.
