POSITION: Assisted Living Resident Care StaffJOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS: HIRING IMMEDIATELY FULL AND PART TIME POSITIONS:
The successful candidates for these positions will become essential members of our highly regarded staff that are responsible for taking care of a great group of residents. We are an assisted living community for the elderly located in northwest Houston rendering the finest assisted living care available. The high quality and friendly nature of the work environment is reflected in the employees who have been employed here for a very long time. These candidates must enjoy working with the elderly and being part of a team. THIS IS A COMPLETELY SMOKE FREE WORKPLACE – INSIDE AND OUT. WE DO NOT HIRE SMOKERS.
Care staff members provide assistance to our residents in their efforts/needs to perform activities of daily living. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. WE TRAIN ALL OF OUR STAFF. Current open full and part time positions are for the following shifts: day (6:30a-3:30p), evening (3p-12a) and night (11:30p-8:30a) shifts on week days (Monday through Friday) and day (6:30a-3:30p), evening (3p-9p), night (11:30p-8:30a) shifts on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). NIGHT STAFF POSITIONS ARE WORKING POSITIONS – THEY DO NOT SLEEP. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES :
• Are NOT PERMITTED to have any body piercings while working (except ears and only with conservative sized earrings)
• Have the physical ability to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position which include, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, lifting at least 30 pounds
• Have the ability to work independently without direct oversight, accomplish assignments by a set deadline and completely and properly finish each task
• Have the ability to keep and maintain a detailed records
• Have the ability to speak, read and write English
• Have the ability to be at work on time, without fail, each and every day when scheduled to work
• Have a reliable child care network at all times when scheduled to work if the candidate has children
• Can successfully pass a criminal background check, drug tests and a check of the State of Texas employee misconduct registry
• * Will be at least 18 years of ageBACKGROUND, PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
• U.S. Citizenship or documented legal resident with authorization to work in the United States
• Successfully pass an initial and periodic criminal background checks and drug tests
• Valid Texas driver’s license
• Own or have unrestricted use of a dependable vehicle (our community is NOT on a bus route and your availability to work cannot be subject to another person bringing you to and from work)
