MEDICAL ASSISTANT
We are looking for a (MA) Medical Assistant to work Front & Back office for our Vein Center. We want someone who is motivated, energetic, looking for a good work environment, likes helping people and enjoys their job. We have recently opened a new North Scottsdale Location and a West Phoenix Location and would prefer someone with some traveling flexibility between the offices if needed. Spanish Speaking is a plus!
Some Traveling required between offices. Full time/ Part time.
Job Purpose:
Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Bilingual medical assistants are always a plus to communicate medical information to our Hispanic patients.
We perform in office procedures that require sterile training. These procedures require a level of confidence and stability when assisting the doctors. Having a quality to present a calm an professional environment in from of patients.
Duties:
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. We are using Electronic Medical Records and computer skills are a must for this position.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery.
- Schedules surgeries by making arrangements with the surgical center; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

CERTIFIED BILLER
We are seeking a qualified MEDICAL BILLER for our 3 Vein Centers.
This is a Full Time / Part Time position. Duties will include coding, billing, posting payments, insurance appeals, obtaining insurance authorizations, surgery scheduling, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and scanning paper charts. Our office is going paperless with an electronic medical records. You will need to have an excellent knowledge of computers to perform your job duties.
You should be friendly, motivated, and able to work well with others. You must be dependable, honest, and ethical. This is a great opportunity to join a growing practice in a fun, fast paced environment.
Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Optima Vein Care Medical Biller/Coder REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Proficiency, and Experience with MEDISOFT PATIENT ACCOUNTING is REQUIRED.
1-2 years of “on the job” billing experience.
