Physical Therapist Assistant Job DescriptionJob Summary: To provide Physical Therapy treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist. Essential Duties: 1. Provide patient treatment plans and protocols.2. Completes patient care documentation within a reasonable time period. Possess the ability and/or aptitude to learn how to document using electronic records (i.e. is able to use a computer, access e-mail and the internet).3. Participates in homecare teams and programs to insure the highest quality and efficient delivery of quality care. Offers feedback on effective treatment plans and protocols to improve patient outcomes.4. Provides education to patients/family, other team members, employers, caregivers and other individuals/organizations within the community setting as needed.5. Demonstrates the willingness to further education benefiting the work place.6. Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.7. Will complete up to seven patient visits per day.8. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Job RequirementsEducation: Must be a graduate of an accredited/certified School for Physical Therapy Assistants approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.License/Certification:Must be licensed and maintain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Great State of Texas.Must possess valid TX driver's license and vehicle to provide services to patient homes.CPR certification.Required Experience: No prior experience required.
