Solo private Neurology practice is looking for a full time EEG Tech. Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm. EEG Tech must have at least 1 year experience as an EEG Tech and highly prefer this person to have hospital or clinical EEG experience, but will consider sleep experience. Prefer neuro experience but not required. Must have High School diploma Neurodiagnostics and certification (American Board of Registered Electroneurologic Technologists -ABRET) is a plus, but not required. EEG Tech will be operating electroencephalograph (EEG) machine to measure brain wave characteristics for use by Physician in diagnosing brain disorders.  EEG Tech reviews patients' charts, explains procedures to patients and/or family members, positions patients, places electrodes and operates EEG equipment, and prepares test results for interpretation by Physician.Benefits if position goes direct are 1 week vacation after one year of employment and 2 weeks after 3 years of employment. Medical is offered and company pays 50%.Knowledge of electroencephalography testing procedures and equipment operation, brain disorders and the ability to read polygraphs, distinguish abnormal characteristics and detect and correct artifacts as normally acquired through completion of one year post-high school training in EEG Technology.  Registration by the American Board of Registered Electroneurologic Technologists (ABRET) is a plus but not required. Must have at least one year of EEG experience and prefer it to be in a clinical or hospital setting.
