Hennepin County Public Health Clinic has an opening for a part-time Adult, Women's and Family Health Nurse Practitioner. The Red Door Services of the Public Health Clinic provides confidential diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), testing and counseling for HIV, short term intervention services for newly diagnosed persons with HIV, Hepatitis A & B vaccinations and family planning services for adolescents. The Red Door staff provides community education and prevention activities to reduce the spread of STDs and HIV. The Public Health Clinic also provides confidential diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, latent TB infections (LTBIs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs); testing and counseling for HIV; and health screening for newly arrived refugees. This position has flexible working hours which will total 64 hours per two-week pay period. The clinic is open Monday 11 AM to 7 PM, and Tuesday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Clinic is not open on the weekends or holidays. Master's degree in nursing is desirable.Licensure by the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.Certification as a Family, Adult or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.At least two years of full-time experience within the past five years as a nurse practitioner.Experience performing STD/HIV evaluation, treatment, referral and risk reduction counseling.Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).Experience providing information to patients regarding pregnancy prevention methods.Experience working with patients from culturally diverse backgrounds.Ability to demonstrate the employee competencies.To apply please visit www.hennepin.jobs
