large medical facility located in Rockland County, NY is seeking a Physician Assistant to work 20-25 hours/week. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and possess current New York State Physician Assistant License, have at least 2 years of experience dealing with adult and pediatric patients, have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills and be sensitive to our diverse ethnic patient population. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Assessment and treatment of initial and/or follow-up care for patients. • Complete patient's history and physical exam, review laboratory results, order appropriate tests. • Order and administer medications. • Develop and implement treatment plans. Notify responsible physicians of changes in the patient's condition. • Educate patient and families about medical conditions • Supervise and instruct medical assistants in clinical duties. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
