Part-time Registered Nurses needed ASAP - Camp Lejeune, NC 28547

Medical/Surgical RNs needed for positions at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in Camp Lejuene, NC.Full time, part time and PRN shifts will be available. Shifts will be 12 hour periodsUS Citizenship required.Associates or Bachelors degree in NursingValid Nursing license in any of the fifty US StatesMaintain current certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). ACLS certifications must be obtained within 60 days of performance under this contract at no expense to the government.Have a minimum of one year full time experience within the last three years caring for adult patients as a RN in an acute care setting.Provide two letters of recommendation written within the last two years attesting to the health care worker’s clinical skills. A minimum of one letter must be from a upervisor. Render professional nursing care to patients with medical-surgical problems assigned to the unit of the hospital.b. Observe proper technique (asepsis) in the performance of the duties.c. Make rounds, evaluate patient’s condition, answer questions, give instructions, take vital signs (TPR, BP), and check functioning of medical equipment. Record vital signs and observations.d. Make rounds with physicians: Prepare equipment and supplies and assist physician during treatments and examinations, cleanse wounds and incisions, change dressings and other. Prepare and administer prescribed medications. Start, replenish and discontinue IVs and blood. Perform prescribed treatments.e. Observe and record: Medications, treatments and patient reaction/response to same; progress of infusions; physical appearance of patient, attitude, appetite, and new symptoms. Notify supervisor and/or physician of significant changes in patient’s response to treatment and care, symptoms of infection, disease, stress, reactions to medications, etc.f. Successfully complete the unit specific competency skills checklist within the first 20 shifts.g. Obtain Level (V) Intravenous (IV) certification within 20 shifts of starting work on this contract.
