The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Division of Children Services is seeking a Nursing Program Consulatant/ Administrator I. This position provides nurse consulting to the Division of Children services. This division is responsible for the Medicaid services provided to children, determining eligibility for specialized health care and coordinating with other agencies for health care, such as school health related services, mental health and developmental disabilities. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide oversight and direction to the Maryland State Department of Education in its provision of health related services to children in schools. In addition this position will assist in coordinating with other parts of DHMH for transition of services form stat plan services to waivers.Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Nursing or health-related field from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as a Registered Nurse including one (1) year of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity.LICENSE: A copy of current RN license MUST accompany application.
