The Registered Nurse, Maternal/Child Services assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care plan of patients within the skilled nursing setting. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by LPNs and Nursing Assistants and supportive staff members. Participates in resident and family teaching as applicable. Education:Validation of current RN license through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Experience Preferred:Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in the area of application. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
