Department: Intensive Care Shift/Schedule: 80 hours per two week pay period, Mon - Fri, hours will vary to meet needs of the department, weekends as needed to meet needs of the department. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Missouri. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) and evidence of continuing education. Experience and evidence of clinical competencies for acceptance into role. Three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse. Management experience preferred. Current CPR certification required.Summary: The Patient Care Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the clinical leadership role. Assumes first line managerial responsibilities and reports directly to the Director. Is responsible and accountable for the delivery of quality care and 24 hour management of the  clinical area. The Patient Care Manager assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of the health care providers assigned to a specific area in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. The Patient Care Manager provides strong leadership, motivation, staff development, serves as a resource consultant for their clinical specialty, and works to achieve continuity of care from admission through discharge. With the approval of the Nursing Practice Committee, the individual has authority for Standards of Care for their specific clinical area.
