One of the leading providers of remote cardiac monitoring products and services in Houston is looking for an Insurance Verification Clerk. This person will be verifying benefits for patients, through research which may require multiple outbound phone calls to payors and/or insurance companies. Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5:00 with a 30 min lunch.Responsibilities:Contact various insurance companies to confirm insurance coverage and eligibility of devices based on CPT codesUpdate patient accounts with corrected informationObtain authorizations as neededWork closely with other departments as necessary to maintain patient and insurance recordsQualifications:1-2 years insurance verification experienceHigh School Graduate or GEDGood grammar and spelling skills required.Neat and legible handwriting required.Ability to proof read grammar, spelling and punctuation of self and others with high degree of accuracy.Must adhere to strict confidentiality and governmental HIPAA requirements.Learn and quickly be able to navigate and use Centricity software program.Learn and quickly be able to navigate various insurance websites.
