One of the leading providers of remote cardiac monitoring products and services in Houston is looking for an insurance contracting specialist. This person will be securing contracts with commercial insurance carriers and Medicaid carriers as well as reviewing existing contracts and making sure renewals are completed in a timely manner. Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5:00 with a 30 min lunch.Responsibilities:Employee is required to learn about various types of insurance plans-commercial and Medicaid.Communication (written/verbal) with various payors.Analyzing contracts and negotiations prior to approval by Management.Must adhere to strict confidentiality with regard to patient and company information.Employee must work closely with other departments as deemed necessary.Qualifications:Minimum 3+ years prior contracting experience with commercial insurance and Medicaid plans.Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD 9 and CPT codes.Typing skills 40wpm or greater.Excellent follow-up and organizational skills.Ability to respond professionally to written and/or verbal instructions.Professional grammar and spelling skills required.Neat and legible handwriting required.Ability to proof read grammar, spelling and punctuation of self and others with high degree of accuracy.Must adhere to strict confidentiality and governmental HIPAA requirements.
