Health system in western Washington state is seeking a Director of HIM. This is a 3 hospital system with a central HIM department. The position is a senior level HIMS position with broad Health Information accountabilities. The position requires complex data analysis, independent judgment, discretion, decision-making, problem solving, diplomacy and leadership. Management skills are used daily in the operations of the department and the executing of policies, programs and procedures. The position reports to the Administrator of Clinical Information Management.  The incumbent will develop, implement and direct Health Information Management Services goals, programs, systems, and  methods, assuring that HIMS data is processed and maintained according to the highest quality standards, making data more accessible, accurate and timely. The incumbent should be a very organized system focused leader; experience with EMR, EPIC a definite plus. The individual should be a visionary with large teaching hospital or multi-hospital experience. Qualifications include: RHIA plus 5 years in medical records administration or related management experience; Masters degree in Health Information Services, or Bachelors degree plus 10 years experience may be considered; six years experience in progressively more responsible leadership positions. Salary range is $90K to $120K plus possible sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Full benefits.
