For moreinformation, please visit our website at http://biomatusa.grifols.comPOSTION SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Facility Manager or Assistant Manager, ensure Health Care Assistants in Washington State donor center facilities are properly supervised and perform injections / immunizations/phlebotomy/capillary tube draws per the scope of their training and licensing.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.(1)   Indirectly supervise employees performing phlebotomy and finger-stick activities on blood-plasma donors.(2)   Ensure all new donor processors and phlebotomists at time of certification are able to properly perform critical job functions relating to finger-stick and venipuncture activities. (3)   Review and authorize performance of duties in the Health Care Assistant packet submitted to the Washington State Department of Health at the time of initial and annual certification.(4)    Ensure all donor processors and phlebotomists at time of annual certification are able to properly perform critical job functions relating to finger-stick and venipuncture activities.(5)   Other administrative and technical duties will be assigned at the discretion of the Facility Manager and members of the divisional leadership team (e.g., Medical Supervisor duties, etc.)REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALICATIONS  High school diploma or equivalent and a podiatric physician and surgeon licensed under chapter 18.22 RCW, a registered nurse or advanced registered nurse practitioner licensed under chapter 18.79 RCW, a naturopath licensed under chapter 18.36A RCW, a physician assistant licensed under chapter 18.71A RCW, or an osteopathic physician assistant licensed under chapter 18.57A RCW.Must have legible handwriting.Must be able to read, write, and speak English.Must be able to use a computer. Must maintain CPR certification.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  1. Manual dexterity to perform all technical  duties within the scope of center operations.2. Ability to stand for extended periods of time – up to four (4) hours at a time.3. Ability to view video display terminal less than 18” away from face – up to four (4) hours a time.4. Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds.5.
