Healthcare corp. in Alexandria, VA seeks an experienced Technical Product Marketing Manager. As a member of the Product Development Team, the Product Mgr. will be responsible for the ongoing development/design and maintenance of software products. Work with stakeholders, customers and partners to understand customer needs and to define product requirements/functionality. Coordinate/analyze market research to understand market drivers and emerging business opportunities. Determine the best way for software to accommodate customer needs to enhance member health and satisfaction. Oversee performance of cognitive testing of the messages used in the products to interpret the best textual and visual elements to use. Evaluate how variations in the product design can impact its overall effectiveness and identify product enhancements that balance a favorable return on investment with customer needs. Define product strategy and product road maps with clear objectives and long-term vision. Perform tasks in support of a system's development life cycle including scope definition, requirements definition, acceptance testing, documentation and training. Team with product developers to help orchestrate the development and release process. Solid understanding of the health care market, trends and business issues; exp. working with multi-disciplinary teams, including information technology and health care clinicians; exp. working collaboratively with user interface designer. Exp. in applying pragmatic marketing methods. BA/BS degree; 5 yrs exp. in product management with a quantitative analysis focus; 3 years in managed healthcare or supporting the health payer market in health payer operations, account management, product management, implementation services or business consulting.
