Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist job in California. Seeking Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist to work 4/10 shifts and rotate the shifts that they work. No nights required, but will rotate working weekends along with the residents. Offering satellite pharmacies in our NICU, PICU, Oncology, and Med/Surg. Plan to expand and add one in our ER next year. Currently, there are 338 licensed beds. This is a teaching hospital, so staff has the option to interact and teach medical and pharmacy residents from UCSF. The hospital is located just five minutes north of Fresno, CA in the heart of central California. Total population in the area is approximately 800,000, but it is more like a large town versus a small city with Midwest flavor and values. Just one hour from Yosemite National Park as well as Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and less than three hours from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and the Monterey/Carmel Peninsula and beautiful Pacific Ocean. Very reasonable to low cost of living and housing, there is little to no commuter traffic in Fresno and plenty of outdoor activities with sunshine and hot weather in the summer. The emphasis of this position is advanced pharmacy practice in a pediatric inpatient setting. Requirements: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required. PharmD - Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred. Current California Registered Pharmacist. Residency or 1 year of experience in pediatrics and/or home care preferred. Application of pharmacology and knowledge of drug distribution.
