Graduate of an accredited nursing program BSN or actively pursing and within 12 months of obtaining Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Texas Current BCLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers ACLS Three (3) years current clinical RN experience – 2 years ICU Two (2) years of progressive leadership experience Excellent communication,interpersonal and problem solving skills Computer skills: WORD, EXCEL, Electronic Health Record and ICU clinical technology Some experience with staffing, performance evaluations, financial reports and budget preferred A brief summary of daily responsibilities follow: * Identify and utilize processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to staff * Facilitate activates that prepares unit, environment and staff to meet credentialing bodies requirements *Exhibits strong knowledge of regulatory standards *Plan, manage, patient care processes to improve performance * Facilitate delivery of quality patient care *Demonstrates positive supportive role in change process * Provides for adequate staffing based on patient care needs * Promote professional growth and development of all employees * Recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments * Supports shared decision-making through the unit-based council in order to develop inter/intradepartmental teamwork and team goal accomplishments. * Develop, implement, monitor and assess processes that impact patient outcomes
