Director of hospital wide sponsored programs job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Provides leadership, management and operational support within the assigned department to ensure achievement of the organizations strategic and operational plans by effectively managing human, financial and capital resources within the spirit of its missions and values. Plan, direct and coordinate financial, administrative efforts of sponsored programs: Research, education/teaching, training, professional development, equipment and capital improvements. Provide direct management for research funding in restricted/unrestricted funds. Coordinates activity to ensure appropriate charges are initiated to assist in maintaining operational viability. Additionally, this individual is required to provide oversight to the Office of Research support which includes the following: Facilitate pre-award review and approvals; Provide oversight and direction to Office of Research Support staff and leased employees to support the needs of the institution; Act as Administrator and liaison for issues pertaining to research and grant administration. Interface with applicable Drexel and DUCOM departments to facilitate and follow-up on the post-award process. Facilitating and provide oversights in the following areas: Sponsorship and Affiliation Legal Contracting; Payroll and Time Keeping Submission; Human Resources Support and Facilitation; Regulatory Oversight; Protocol Submissions; Protocol Compliance; Research Study Tracking.
