Lakeside Health System is seeking Registered Nurses to work part-time in the Emergency Department. Lakeside Health System is located in Brockport, New York. We are a 181-bed healthcare system, serving a three-county area. In addition to Lakeside Memorial Hospital, we have the Beikirch Care Center (a skilled nursing facility), a Family Wellness Center, and Urgent Care Centers in Spencerport and LeRoy. Lakeside Memorial Hospital is a New York State Designated Stroke Center and has been consistently ranked as a top-performing hospital, with patient satisfaction rates in the 99th percentile. From housekeeping to finance, food service to nursing, and maintenance to billing, each Lakeside employee is valued for the important role they play in providing the best possible service to patients and the community. The RN will report directly to the Director of Critical Care Services. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to meet the needs of the patients in the Emergency Department. Under the direction of the nursing director, the registered nurse has the authority and accountability for utilizing the nursing process and delegating components of the nursing regime to allied health personnel. The registered nurse is expected to apply hospital policies and nursing standards in the delivery of care to patients. He/she works collaboratively with all members of the health care team to deliver safe, effective and quality patient care and customer service. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Associates Degree in Nursing. Licensed in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse. 2. One years experience in an acute care setting preferred. 3. CPR certification 4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within three months of hire. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The following criteria is preferred: 1. B.S. in Nursing or other related or non-related field. 2. Certification in BLS or ACLS (ACLS required in Emergency Department). 3.
