You have at least two (2) years in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.  You have strong primary cell culture experience, including generation of stable cell lines and transient transfections.  You have solid molecular biology skills, including general PCR techniques, site-directed mutagenesis.  You excellent biochemistry skills, including protein purification, ELISA, western analysis.  You have behavioral pharmacology experience, particularly related to animal models of pain.  You have a strong desire to work in a team environment.If the above applies to you, we'd like to get to know you.  We seek candidates for the role of Associate Consultant Biologist.  In this role you will work to identify drug candidates for clinical development to treat diseases of the central nervous system (CNS).Candidates must have a BA/BS/MS in a biology-related field (e.g., biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, neuroscience, etc.).  Must have prior experience using in vivo and in vitro electrophysiological recording techniques.  For in vivo recording, basic understanding of handling of animals, stereotaxic surgery and probe positioning.  For in vitro recording, basic knowledge of cell isolation and acute/short-term culturing techniques, brain dissection and tissue slicing.  Candidates must have experience with electronic equipment, computer data collection, analysis and management programs related to electrophysiology.
