Houston's oldest ongoing orthopaedic group is looking for a Call Center Scheduler for a 6-Physician practice. The practice specializes in spine and sports orthopaedics, as well as general orthopaedics. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. Centricity experience is a big plus, but not required. This position calls for triaging calls to the appropriate departments/people (huge part of the position), confirming appointments, scheduling surgeries, and taking information from the workers comp adjuster or employer and faxing information (forms/charts) to the appropriate people. Applicant must have worked for a practice that dealt with workers comp cases and is familiar with workers comp, as well as managed care (HMO and PPO), and Medicare. This person must also be bilingual. Insurance verification is an extra perk and would be great but not mandatory. Must have previous scheduling and phone triage experience.  Must have experience working a multi-line phone and multi-physician practice. Benefits once the position goes direct hire include: after 90 days of a direct hire employee, BCBS for medical, dental and vision is Guardian. Facility pays 75% of medical and all of dental and vision, plus life insurance up to $25,000.  Spouse and children are at the employee’s cost.Centricity experience is a big plus, but not required.
