10 Physician (2 NP’s) Urology practice in The Woodlands is looking for a qualified LVN to join their growing team. This cutting edge clinic treats both pediatric and adult patients. Applicants must be able to join in on a fast paced environment. LVN must have at least 5 years of experience and must be proficient in drawing blood and inserting catheters on both males and females. Urology experience is preferred, but not required. LVN must be very flexible and adaptable in terms of his/her personality. Hours are ………………….. LVN must be able to and have experience rooming patients, drawing blood, injections, catheterizing, vitals, and computer literate (practice uses Meridian).Duties: * Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment. * Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment. * Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; removing sutures; changing dressings. * Educates patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions. * Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results in electronic medical record. * Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock. * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. * Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential. * Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and CLIA standards. * Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Knowledge of male and female catheterization is helpful, but not required. You may invest up to 100% of your salary (pre-tax) in your 401(k) account, subject to an annual IRS dollar limitation. The Company’s 401(k) investment options are through John Hancock, Edward Jones, and Miller-Green.Employer MatchingClinic matches employee 401(k) contributions in the amount of 1% for each 1% the employee contributes (up to a total of 3%). Company Profit SharingClinic may make an annual profit-sharing contribution to each employee’s 401(k) plan. This profit sharing percentage is set each year by the owners and is typically a function of profitability. Time Off From WorkClinic offers a Paid Time Off (PTO) policy that allows employees to schedule for vacation and sick time. In addition, Clinic provides 7 specified holidays for 2010.LVN must have at least 5 years experience and have Texas license. Must be able to pass a background check. Doctor’s office experience is preferred over hospital experience. Excellent job tenure is a must. Practice uses Meridian as their electronic medical records system and they will train. LVN must be okay with cathing both male and female patients and have experience cathing both males and females. Must be computer literate.
