Lakeside Health System is seeking a Part Time or per diem Ultrasound Technologist (including call reponsibilities). Lakeside Health System is located in Brockport, New York. We are a 181-bed healthcare system, serving a three-county area. In addition to Lakeside Memorial Hospital, we have the Beikirch Care Center (a skilled nursing facility), a Family Wellness Center, and Urgent Care Centers in Spencerport and LeRoy. The Ultrasound Tech is assigned, but not limited to, the following responsibilities: 1. Performs all duties and functions related to diagnostic ultrasound. 2. Directs flow of scheduled patients through ultrasound. 3. Coordinates flow of ultrasound patients with other health system departments through specific scheduling and assuring patient preparation. 4. Ensures that equipment is used properly, that preventive maintenance is completed per schedule, that functioning problems are reported, and that repair records are complete and available for review. 5. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies and ensures professional appearance and cleanliness of patient procedure area. 6. Maintains awareness of current policies and procedures related to ultrasound and special procedure routines and makes recommendations as needed for revisions. 7. Prepares for and assists radiologists with special procedures. 8. Competently performs all procedures and uses all equipment appropriately. Applicants MUST meet the following criteria for consideration: * MUST be a graduate of an approved Bachelor’s Degree ultrasound program. * MUST be ARDMS registered or registry eligible in Abdomen and OB/GYN. * MUST have at least 6 months of working experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. * MUST be willing and available to work part time, approximately 20 hours per week, primarily evening and weekend hours. 1 year or more of working experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is preferred.
