Audit Director of Medicaid ComplianceManage the implementation and maintenance of the Department's Medicaid Compliance Program. Execute the annual Medicaid Compliance plan including implementation of a Medicaid compliance self assessment process in affected divisions. Assist divisions in developing and updating their policies and procedures relevant to Medicaid services and functions and embedding compliance in business processes. Provide initial and ongoing training on Medicaid compliance and ensure coordination and collaboration on agency wide initiatives affected by Medicaid regulations.Essential Functions:• Develop and execute the annual Medicaid Compliance plan in coordination with divisions' Medicaid Compliance liaisons and Internal Audit function.• Collaborate and assist the divisions who provide Medicaid affected services to ensure their processes, systems and employees comply with Medicaid requirements for service provision, billing and reimbursement.• Lead the implementation of Medicaid Compliance self assessment process. Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actives.• Coordinate external audits conducted by Federal and State monitoring entities of Medicaid functions.• Engage and monitor contracted subject matter expertise to perform independent assessments.• Coordinate with internal auditors the assessments of division's compliance controls.• Remain current in federal/state laws and regulations and best practices.• Monitor key external and internal reports to ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements. • Report potential risks, non-compliance to the Medicaid Compliance officer.Position Requirements:Must have a Bachelor degree with 24 Credits in Accounting or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Three to Five plus years experience with federal funded programs, e.g., Medicaid, Medicare services; Five plus years experience in healthcare regulatory organization Knowledge and Skills:Effective Communication skills: verbal, written, knowledge and experience of government healthcare laws, regulations and standards, particularly Medicaid Experience with internal and external auditing, risk management and performance improvement; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; critical thinking and listening skills; decision making/problem solving.NOTE: NEW YORK CITY RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF APPOINTMENT.The City of New York/NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Apply online at www.nychealthcareers.com; in the JVN search bar, enter 138905
