A private Oncology practice with a renowned Dr. is looking for an Oncology/Chemo RN for part-time to start off (20-24 hours per week) until they hit their busy season in March. The nurse will work Mon, Tues, Wed or even maybe Tues, Wed, Thurs (depending on busy days) and then every 3rd weekend. RN must be able to work every third weekend, Sat and Sun for two hours max each day (no chemo on weekends, just growth factors, disconnects and injections). Must also be open to staying late if needed on busy days.The RN must either have had mixing experience or be willing to learn and be willing to mix chemo when the Pharmacist is not available (rarely). The main duties will be administering chemo. Must be able to multi-task. This is a BUSY, HECTIC clinic so RN will have to do many things all at once. RN needs at least one year of Oncology/Chemo experience as well as being open to learning how to mix chemo. RN should be experienced with administering chemo drugs, accessing ports, and familiar with chemo drugs. Highly prefer a lot of central line experience. Must be a registered nurse, licensed in Texas and prefer experience with accessing ports.This is a private smaller clinic. Office has about 9-10 employees and this nurse would be working with 1 other RN and 1 MA. This practice mainly deals with lymphoma, colon, breast and lung cancers. 5-6 chemo patients a day, with 20 patients total.Candidate is eligible for benefits after 60 days of permanent employment (100% medical, PTO and profit sharing).The RN must either have had mixing experience or be willing to learn and be willing to mix chemo when the Pharmacist is not available (rarely).
