St. Ann’s Community is seeking a Per Diem Staff Nurse for their Rochester, NY location. St. Ann’s Community is a not-for-profit organization providing a varied range of services and care levels designed to meet the individual needs of older adults. St. Ann’s offers several independent and retirement living options, short-term rehabilitation, transitional care, Adult Day Services, Assisted Living, specialized memory care and 24-hour skilled nursing care. The Staff Nurse will report directly to the Manager of Nursing Services and/or Clinical Care Coordinator. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for giving direct and indirect nursing care to a specified number of residents. Responsibilities for this position may also include the following: * Assists with the development of care plans for each resident assigned to the team. * Observes, records, and reports Residents’ general physical and mental condition, as well as signs and symptoms indicative of change. * Assumes responsibility for completion of RCR as needed * Serves as team leader as assigned and conducts team conferences. * Updates and distributes CNA assignments * Assists with diagnostic procedures as assigned. * Admits and discharges Residents. * Assists Residents and families in adjustment to their admission experience. * Performs basic therapeutic procedures and treatments. * Inventories narcotics and hypnotics as assigned, maintains floor stock. * Assists with medical rounds as needed. * Supervises team members to ensure care is provided according to established policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements of RN & LPN Candidates: * Must have 2 or more years of current related experience (Long-Term Care preferred) to apply. * Must have a NYS License to practice or Certification of NYS.
