You have a B.S. in Information Systems or Computer Science and at least five (5) years experience in interfacing clinical laboratory instrumentation and associated systems.   You have previous experience in a Hospital setting supporting Instrumentation and Laboratory Information Systems, which includes troubleshooting RS232 serial and TCP/IP interfacing is considered necessary.  You have both  A+ and MCP certifications, or A+ and any one of the following: MCSE, N+, CNA, CNE.  You have previous experience in supporting Windows, strong Ethernet and TCP/IP knowledge, browser configurations, internet connectivity configurations, firewall configurations, hands on electro- mechanical, PC skills, HL7, ASTM and other communication protocols.  You seek a new opportunity with a healthcare leader whose performance-driven diagnostic solutions provide more effective and efficient ways to anticipate, diagnose, monitor and treat disease.  If the above describes you, we would very much like to get to know you.  We seek candidates for the role of Senior Informatics Connectivity Consultant.  In this role you will support all Healthcare Diagnostics products in the area of project planning management, interfacing, data management, data transmission, and other areas that require computer systems and networking expertise.  You will serve as 2nd level Informatics Support and interact directly with customers at all levels within the customer's management structure, LIS Vendors, 3rd Party Middleware Companies as well as with all levels of employees and management within  Healthcare Diagnostics.  The nature of these interactions include answering questions, solving problems, attending meetings/conference calls, providing and facilitating training, and providing consultative advice and solutions during the sales, pre-installation, installation and support process. Candidates must have a B.S. in Information Systems or Computer Science and at least five (5) years experience in interfacing clinical laboratory instrumentation and associated systems.  Must possess strong telephone, verbal/written, and interpersonal communication skills.  Must have strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills.  Preference will be given to candidates with both A+ and MCP certifications, or A+ and any one of the following: MCSE, N+, CNA, CNE. Candidates will participate in on-call rotation for off-hours and weekend support as needed.
