Our state-of-the-art Orthodontic practice has an Ortho Assistant opening, for an outgoing individual who is friendly and self-motivated. Must provide outstanding customer service while assisting the doctor with the treatment of orthodontic patients.Duties include:o Perform chairside tasks assigned by the orthodontist, including banding and bonding, wire changes, orthodontic records (X-rays, photographs and impressions)o Sterilize instruments and maintain clean operatory o Escort patients to and from the clinic for each appointment o Provide patient and parents with instructions and demonstrations as necessary o Maintain accurate patient treatment records on the clinical computer o Anticipate the needs of and assist Dr. at all times o Monitor patient flow o Perform other tasks as assigned by the orthodontist.o 2+ years of recent/current experience as an hands-on orthodontic assistant.o Experience with banding, bonding, wire changing, x-rays, electronic charting, and strong computer and typing skillso Must be well-spoken, professional, organized and have a cheerful personalityo State of Texas RDA is highly preferred but not a must have
