The company is a rehab centre in Southwestern Iowa, West of DesMoines. They are seeking a dedicated and talented Occupational Therapist. They offer a salary commensurate with experience and a solid benefits package. They will pay a USD 5,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation expenses for a 2-year commitment. They will also add an additional $20,000 of assistance for school loan repayment for a 5-year commitment.Position functions summary:- Evaluate, establish plan of care and treat patients referred by a health care provider for occupational therapy services- Treat patient and supervise treatment plans needed to progress patient- Supervise treatment administered by OTAs and Rehab Technicians- Follow-up with referral source regarding patient's treatment and progress- Assist with department Quality reports and/or records- Perform necessary documentation including: evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, and billing in a timely manner according to department policy- Assist with orientation of new caregivers to the department, volunteers, or students- May assist in interviewing applicants for open positions within the department in accordance with established hiring policy- Utilize and maintain department equipment and request department supplies as needed- Assess daily and future needs of the department and address them- Commit to reducing costs and improving productivity within the department- Assist with drafting operating budgets for the department- Attend department meetings- Attend required and approved continuing education- Caregiver must agree to adhere to all provisions and requirements of the Compliance Plan and Ethics PolicyPosition requirements:1. Bachelor or Master or Doctorate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree and university program certificate from an accredited school2. Current Iowa Occupational Therapy license (or another state and able to transfer)3. 1+ year of experience
