St. Ann’s Community is seeking an RN Reimbursement Manager for their location in Rochester, NY. St. Ann’s Community is a not-for-profit organization providing a varied range of services and care levels designed to meet the individual needs of older adults. We offer several independent and retirement living options, short-term rehabilitation, transitional care, Adult Day Services, Assisted Living, specialized memory care and 24-hour skilled nursing care. This position is under the general direction of the Sr. VP/Administrator with Matrix to the Chief Nursing Executive and in partnership with the Directors of Nursing at each facility. The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for the operations and overall performance of MDS reimbursement department and oversight in each facility. The Manager will oversee the planning, development, implementation, coordination and daily operations of the MDS Department in each facility. The Manager will be responsible for maximizing reimbursement opportunities in support of the overall financial goals established by the organization. As a member of each respective Organization Management Team, the Reimbursement Manager assists in the overall administration of each organization to assure effective accomplishment of goals. The Manager coordinates clinical staff activities; oversees financial performance as related to MDS and Restorative Nursing Programs, and assists in maintaining sound relations among the interdisciplinary team. The Manager is also responsible for the promotion of mission related activities which are consistent with the goals and objectives of St. Ann’s Community.The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:* Ensures all MDS Coordinators are oriented to the standards of practice to ensure policies and procedures are correctly followed.* Develop and implement competency based continuing education programs based on identified learning needs. Evaluate ongoing program effectiveness.* Monitors and continually evaluate MDS data submission to CMS to ensure accuracy, quality of care and ongoing quality improvement activities resulting in positive clinical outcomes and reimbursements.* Implements pertinent strategic and management action plans in alignment with organizational goals.* Monitors and ensures system-wide compliance with NY State and Federal guidelines and regulations as they pertain to PPS and MDS information.* Maximizes reimbursement opportunities as a result of the MDS, Medicare, Medicaid and Restorative Nursing Program. * Establishes and monitors staffing requirements to facilitate structure and continuity within the organization. Works in partnership with facility Director of Nursing in interviewing, selecting, hiring, supervising and evaluating personnel.* Promote harmonious relationships between the MDS staff to develop and effective, cohesive and dynamic team.* Promotes and encourage professional growth and development of MDS Coordinators through attendance at conferences and seminars.* Maintains membership and participation in professional organizations to maintain knowledge of State and Federal regulations and policies.* Serves as a resource for the Finance Department on MDS billing questions.* Provides MDS training for new employees with MDS completion responsibility, while assuring timely MDS completion and submission to the DOH, Equip and Finance.Applicants for this position MUST meet the following criteria:* Current and valid NYS RN License* Knowledge of experience in MDS completion. * Knowledge of Medicare skilled care guidelines. * Certified in FIMS completion. * Have or work toward AANAC MDS Certification.* Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive management experience. * A minimum of three (3) years MDS experience.* A minimum of three (3) years experience working within prospective payment systems for MDS and Restorative Nursing reimbursements. * Demonstrated experience in Restorative Nursing.* Demonstrating experience in authoring and implementing system policies and procedures.To apply for this position, please go to: www.stannsjobs.com and apply under Job 3209.For information on employment opportunities with St. Ann’s Community, please go to: www.stannsjobs.com
