You have a Pharm.D. and are licensed as a pharmacist in the state of California (or have the ability to gain this licensure). You have at least five (5) years of pharmacy experience that includes three (3) years managerial experience in an acute care setting. We seek candidates for the role of Assistant Director of Pharmacy. In this role you will be responsible for the management and strategic planning of clinical pharmacy services to ensure the quality of pharmacy technology and services. You will perform as the designated Pharmacist in Charge and will be responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for the practice of pharmacy. You will facilitate development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. You will develop standards and testing procedures that meet the needs of patients and physicians.Candidates must have a Pharm.D. and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of California (or have the ability to gain this licensure). Must have five (5) years of pharmacy experience that includes three (3) years managerial experience in an acute care setting. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in a large tertiary care academic medical center. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Candidates must have the ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must have the ability to read and correctly interpret complex regulations, contracts and policies.
