As a physician assistant and an Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills that you can use in your practice. When you work in your community and serve when needed, you'll further develop your clinical skills as you care for Soldiers and their Families. Requirements include: Bachelor's degree, plus completion of an accredited physician assistant program acceptable to the Army Surgeon General Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Eligibility for board certification Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver) Permanent U.S. residency Benefits include: Paid continuing education and training Non-contributory retirement benefits at age 60 with 20 years of qualifying service Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions Special Pay and Loan Repayment.
