PURPOSE: The Physical Therapist organizes and provides direction for medically prescribed physical therapy programs, in the hospital and the out-patient clinics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Performs patient evaluations, develops and implements a plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, physicians, and other medical professionals. Consistently uses good communication skills when interacting with other people. Demonstrates knowledge of specific age related differences in the application of physical therapy services. Develops effective treatment schedules to achieve maximal productivity and efficiency. Maintains current state licensure and keeps abreast of clinical developments and regulations affecting provisions of physical therapy. May be required to assist the Physical Therapy Coordinator or Director of Rehab Services in coordinating department activity. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed or eligible for license in the state of Florida.Current CPR/BLS certification. New graduate considered; 1 - 2 years previous hospital/out-patient experience preferred.
