Come Join Us on the Journey!Work side by side with people who truly care, have supportive colleagues, be acknowledged for work well done, and be part of a team that consistently advances psychiatric healthcare services in the St. Louis region.Opening in the fall of 2011, the St. Louis Regional Psychiatric Stabilization Center (PSC) is a not for profit collaboration with ongoing support from BJC HealthCare and SSM Health Care as well as support from the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the St. Louis Regional Health Commission.  PSC will be housed in the Metropolitan Psychiatric Center at 5351 Delmar Boulevard.  This facility is the only facility in the region built to care specifically for the psychiatric patient.The Psychiatric Stabilization Center will offer a Crisis Access Service as well as a Brief Treatment Unit.  The Crisis Access Service is a psychiatric assessment and triage facility that blends urgent care and emergency care models.  The service will provide 24/7 assessment, triage and placement services under the direction of a Psychiatrist Medical Director.  The Brief Treatment Unit is a 16-bed unit for patients who require a brief inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides preventative care, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses using advanced clinical skills, diagnostic reasoning, and advanced therapeutic interventions. The APN will combine education, research, management, leadership, and consultation to provide individualized patient care. Minimum Requirements:•        Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) Required•        Current licensure or license eligible as an advanced practice nurse by the State of Missouri•        3-5 years of experience in working with psychiatric patients•        Ability to communicate with a patient in a way  that respects dignity•        Collaborative Communication with all members of team.•        Ability to deliver patient centered, safe careAdditional Certifications•        Certification in Mental Health Is a PlusPSC offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, including:•        Medical•        Dental•        Vision•        Matching 403B plan
