An 18-Physician, multi-specialty practice in Northwest Houston is looking for a Certified Coder through the AAPC. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years experience as a Certified Coder. This clinic has been in business since 1975. There are over 18 different physicians that share offices near I-45/FM 1960 and the Woodlands, within the specialties of Internal medicine, Family medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, General surgery, Pain management and Imaging. This coder will be coding mostly CPT codes since they will be coding for a General Surgeon there. The coder will need to be able to audit charges for the surgeon and identify things that were coded incorrectly and make corrections.It is highly preferred  the Coder have experience coding in at least 2 or more of these specialties and must have at least 2 years coding experience. The Coder will be performing inpatient AND outpatient coding , as well as charge auditing, correction of diagnosis related insurance denials, and other projects as needed. Nextgen experience and familiarity with HCC diagnosis codes is a plus.Hours will be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm .The Certified Coder will be coding for approximately 18 different physicians, within the specialties of: Internal medicine, Family medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, General surgery, Pain management and Imaging.  It is highly preferred to have experience coding in at least 2 or more of these specialties. Must have a Coding Certificate from an accredited school and be a Nationally Certified Coder through the AAPC. Must have at least 2-3 yrs coding experience. This coder will be coding mostly CPT codes since they will be coding for a General Surgeon there.
