They will provide plans for hearing loss compensation, business noise reduction, or coordinate with other health care professionals (such as a speech-language pathologist) about surgery or treatment plans. The audiologist will counsel clients about personal hearing loss and help determine strategies to minimize the effect on the client’s lifestyle. Audiologists may fit and prescribe hearing devices or sound amplification systems such as hearing aids. They will typically work regular hours in an office setting. This may include night and weekend hours, depending on patient needs. Audiologists may travel locally to perform their duties in clinics, private businesses, or schools.Duties and Responsibilities: •        Diagnostic hearing evaluations/hearing screenings, hearing instrument fittings, vestibular testing. •        Establish rapport with and gather history from patients and extend appropriate recommendations following testing.•        Make ear impressions, ear molds &amp;amp; order instruments as needed.•        Program and fit hearing instruments with all the latest technology at your disposal•        Counsel patients.•        Maintain documentation and patient files.•        Assist with any adjustments, questions or problems.•        Counsel and instruct patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.•        Evaluate hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.•        Educate and supervise audiology students and health care personnel as needed.•        Participate in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new hearing or balance disorder treatment methods or technologies.•        Administer hearing tests and examine patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment, using specialized instruments and electronic equipment.•        Engage in marketing activities, such as developing marketing plans, to promote business.•        Recommend assistive devices according to patients&amp;#8217; needs or nature of impairments.•        Performs other duties as assigned.
